From December to May, Arctic Coast provides port-to-port snowmobile safaris between Kjøllefjord and Mehamn on Hurtigruten voyages. During these tours we make a few stops along the way to enjoy the pristine and awe-inspiring natural vistas.
The trip across the Nordkinn Peninsula offers breathtaking scenery in daylight and by starlight. The Northern Lights (aurora borealis) phenomenon can often be seen during the Polar Night, while the stars and moon of the night sky are reflected in mountain snow.
On our trips we take a break at our lávvu (Sámi tent), where we serve warm drinks around an open fire. Our guides introduce you to some of the region's history, and tell tales from both ancient and modern Sámi life.
We offer instruction for snowmobile driving and provide all necessary equipment and warm clothing to each tour participant.
Tours are booked in combination with Hurtigruten tickets, or on board the ship on Hurtigruten journeys. The excursions are available in both directions on trips that include the ports of Kjøllefjord and Mehamn.
